Everything that has a beginning has a sequel.
Naturally, I went to see The Matrix Revolutions yesterday. I'm still of somewhat mixed minds about it; however, it did feel more satisfyting than the last installment, despite more unanswered questions than ever.

I admit to being weird, but at least half my joy in watching these movies is in all the room for discussion and speculation. In fact, that's been the best part of many movies, comics, books, tv shows and so forth. Anything that's so complete in itself that it has no room for me to do anything tends to be ... a little less fun.
Yeah, but too much open-endedness, especially in what should be the conclusion to the series, is too much. I don't want to give any spoilers away to anyone who hasni't seen the movie, but the resolution is too much 2001-type "What the hell was all that about?" for my taste. Besides, there's already enough pseudo-philosophy in the films on which to discuss and speculate for years.
I'll have to see it for myself (with luck, some time this weekend, although there is reason to doubt).
Maybe it's just that I don't expect much from movies at all. If I get anything I like, I'm happy. But then, I can entertain myself with the keys on my keyloop for a good hour.
Went to see it. Wrote about it. May write more, may not.
