One of the things I'm going to have to work on if I'm going to try to make a political difference in the future is finding the courage to call people on bullshit. For example, I should have enough backbone to tell relatives when the stories they tell about supposed liberal outrages sound fishy. I don't know if my cousin was blaming it on John Edwards specifically, but she was spreading the claim that lawsuits were the reason flu vaccine was so scarce this year. I'm sure she meant well...
