So, I'm not back back, but I'm dinking around behind the scenes a little bit. When I switched from my old Blogger-based weblog to Movable Type a few years ago, I never bothered importing my old weblog entries at the time; I have finally done so. (Too bad I can't easily do the same thing for the original incarnation back on PITAS.) Dig through the archives if you like (June 2000 - January 2002), but it's mostly broken links these days.

I'm noticing how differently I poosted back then, often multiple posts per day, short little things, usually built around a single link. Lots more connections to other weblogs back then, as well. Compared to today, weblogging was a much tighter little community back then.

The reason I've finally gone to the trouble is that I'm seriously considering closing my old account. I remember thinking I was going to hold onto my old Illuminati Online account forever, but the management has changed, I don't feel any attachment to the new owners, and I like having my own domain these days. Abandoning an e-mail account that I've held for more than a decade saddens me, even though I get little there except spam anymore.
