According to rumor, there may be another round of Serenity preview screenings coming up on July 28th. If so, I'm sure notice will be up on the official preview screening site soon. [via Xkot] If you don't know what I'm talking about...

Serenity is the movie sequel to the cancelled TV series Firefly, a science fiction Western that developed a cult following on its all-too-short run. This will be the third (fourth if you count an initial one-off showing) round of preview screenings of the almost-finished film, which will see full release on 30 September. I caught the last round when it hit St. Louis, and loved it; the special fan introduction by creator Joss Whedon (of Buffy and Angel fame) was worth the price of admission in itself.

My showing sold out in fifteen minutes at most, and I've heard that it might have been as little as six. If the rumored screening date is correct, I'd expect tickets to go on sale at 11 AM local time on the dot this coming Thursday, listed as "Special advanced screening" on ticket sites, and sell out at least as quickly as my round. Good luck if you decide to go for it.
